

Caitlin Murphy Pine
Co-founder & Head of Grantmaking Services
Caitlin Murphy Pine is a seasoned arts administrator and grantmaking professional whose career has been dedicated to sustaining and advancing the new music performing arts field. A classically trained violist by background, she brings both artistic fluency and deep philanthropic expertise to her work. As Head of Grantmaking Services at The Kendrick Arts Group, she oversees grantmaking for the Aaron Copland Fund for Music and the Amphion Foundation, and supports other client foundation activities.
Before joining The Kendrick Arts Group in 2012, Caitlin served as Grants and Development Coordinator at Chamber Music America and contributed to Symphony Space’s acclaimed Selected Shorts program. She has also provided administrative strategy and board development support to NYC-based chamber music ensembles.
A committed community leader, Caitlin has served as Vice President of Development and as a Trustee at Sutton Place Synagogue in New York City and on the Board of Directors of the Astoria Music Society. She currently serves on the Board of Directors as Vice President of Development at Congregation Beth Emeth in Northern Virginia.
Caitlin holds a bachelor’s degree in Viola Performance from Oberlin College and Conservatory of Music and has pursued additional studies in business administration and private foundation practices. Outside of her professional work, she has also cultivated personal interests in birth work, training as a childbirth educator and certified postpartum doula. Based in Northern Virginia, where she lives with her husband and children, she is active in her local community through her synagogue, her children’s school parent teacher organization fundraising committee, and as an enthusiastic attendee of performing arts events in Washington, D.C., and New York City.
